This is a story of healing as told to me on a rainy day on the back porch,with the drumming of rain on the wood.Ida is a 90 yr old Mennonite woman who shares a story of hardship and healing.

What a wonderful story! She was able to minister to these young girls because of her pains. She is not bitter, or angry just thankful. Very beautiful story of healing!

It's been a while since I truly felt the urge to kill. Listening to that poor woman talk about having her innocense taken away in a cornfield at such a young age, I couldn't help but imagine my baby and someone doing that to her...and now my heart feels hate. I know it's wrong, but I wouldn't ever forgive something like that.

She's an amazing lady. Having lived a life as you described and having endured the molestation . . . and in PartII she says she's lived a good life. Few people would see life still good, as Ida does. Truly amazing.

That made me want to cry, Beth. I was sexually molested when I was 7 by family members. To here this sweet lady talk about what happened to her when she was so little... it breaks my heart. But I find it amazing that she allowed that to turn into such a wonderful gift to the world. Thank her for the inspiration she showed through this video.

First off, this lady looks and talks absolutely beautifully for a woman of 90 years! She is so straight and so healthy looking.

It is terrible when ugly things like that are brought to innocent children. Im sorry for what she went through.

I think most people don't realize what a problem child abuse is. In the work that I do, nothing surprises me anymore. It is so sad what humanity can do with this wonderful gift of free will God gave us. Ida testifies of the wonderful healing power of God for our minds, bodies and spirits. What a precious saint of God she is! The sweetness of God shines out of her. Please thank her.

Wow! People think things were better in the "olde days", but Ida is proof that it hasn't changed -- it's just more publicized. I was molested when I was 12 or 13 by my father -- I can't imagine having to deal with it at the age of 5. It is amazing how the Lord was able to heal your mother-in-law's soul & spirit, that she did not become bitter, and instead became even more compassionate. I'm also amazed that she is so open about her testimony.

OH my I just sat and wept and wept and wept at the thought of a little, docile 5 year old girl and what that man did...it truly makes me ashamed some times of the male gender. The vengeance part of me wonders what her Daddy did to the man....I sure know what I would have liked to have done....

But the beauty and the glory of this story is that there was victory and redemption. What an amazing and powerful story. I am most humbled by it. And forced to count my blessings.

Beautiful testimony! It brings tears to my eyes to hear the children of God share the terrible experiences they've gone through and yet are able to come through it and turn around and use their life as a ministry to others in similar circumstances:)
