Rosie O'Donnell has joined "The View" recently. She has created controversy that has led to some of the best ratings the show has ever had. I think that she is going to wear out her welcome within a year. This was when she was making fun of Chinese TV. Do you think Rosie is good for "The View?"

I thought this video was funny. But I do think she'll wear out her welcome. Whether she's good for the view or not, I don't know. I don't watch it.

Maybe because I'm partially Asian [Korean], I find this slightly offensive. >_> "...and then the Chinese started making fun of the Americans because of their harsh pronounciation of the straight "a" sound..." The [white] college professor of my AP teacher last year compared it to the honking sound of a goose. x] I know nothing of the View and therefore can't answer the question... unless, angry/frustrated watchers is what they're aiming for...

I like her alot better than Star Jones! Rosie is funny, but she is VERY opinionated and says whatever pops into her head. It's rather ironic that she wants people to be open minded when it comes to issues that she cares about (like gay marriage), but yet she makes fun of the Chinese. On the other hand she has no problem making fun of herself. But one of these days she will say something totally over the line and that will be it for her.

i have watched the view since day one. i have to admit that its the best it has ever been since rosie has joined. its hard for me to say because i am a huge meredith viera fan. she is funny, truthful and on some levels very real. although she does say something dumb or controversial she makes up for it with all the good she does for children in this country. just my opinion.

Years ago a close friend had been born in Ecuador and camer here as a child. As we spoke, at one point he imitated how English sounded to him when he only spoke spanish. I found it hysterical, because it was DEAD ON. I wonder how many people would find it as amusing as I did? That being said, my imitation of Mandarin is WAY better than this mouthpiece. :P

I don't even watch The View, so I have no idea. But I do know that I don't like Rosie...never have.

i don't like rosie... she's an idiot who needs to think before she speaks. she's very narrowminded. she doesn't like it when people talk about her (e.g. clay & kelly ripa episode) but she doesn't care about others and says whatever she wants. i didn't like star jones either but i for sure as heck don't like rosie. she will not go far in the entertainment business... plus she's not really attractive... maybe that's why she turned lesbian. it's okay to be opinionated but she needs to grow up and be respectful.
