Who said that Math isn't fun? Bend a length of wire into this shape, dip it in soapy water and what do you get? A Henneberg Minimal Surface, of course! This 30-second clip took five hours to render on a 2 GHz Dell machine. Its larger, 1024x768-pixel twin, took 30 hours and 28 minutes to render. Crikey! I need a faster machine! LLL's new 'RoadRunner' supercomputer would just about do it: 1.5 petaflops of pure computing Nirvana!
